Aftyn is the representative for the 51st district of Tennessee (part of Davidson County). She has build her brand on "caring loudly" and has used her background a a licensed social worker to be the best advocate for her constituents.
Here is her website if you are interested in learning more about her: https://www.aftynbehn.com/about-aftyn-behn

Here is Aftyn's Response:
Reverend Miller,
Thank you for this, and for the work you're already doing. Gathering testimony, building a public record, educating your community: that's exactly right, and it adds up.
You're not wrong about the climate. When public officials suggest certain religions should be outlawed, that's not a gaffe. That's a signal. Minority faith communities are the first to feel it and the last to be taken seriously when they raise the alarm.
On where to plug in: the Military Religious Freedom Foundation is the most aggressive organization working specifically on DoD religious discrimination. For Pagan and Heathen civil rights advocacy specifically, Lady Liberty League-- part of Circle Sanctuary, has a strong network. And the ACLU of Tennessee is worth a direct conversation given what you're tracking at the state level.
Thank you for caring loudly,
Legislative Office Staff
Representative Aftyn Behn, LMSW
Pronouns: she/her/hers

Where can we plug in:
Military Religious Freedom Foundation:
They are a 501c(3) Non-Profit that focuses on ensuring that all members of our United States Military recieve their constitutional right to religious freedom.
Lady Liberty Leauge:
As part of Circle Sanctuary, they have been working since 1985 to protect religious freedom for Heathens, Pagans, and other nature based religions.
ACLU of Tennessee
They are always looking for ways to help protect and defend civil liberties and constitutional rights across the state.
We have a lot of work to do and these are some great areas to get started.
